About Us
Who We Are
Purple Cactus is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit grantmaking organization dedicated to funding the programs, research, and services that protect and empower survivors of domestic violence across the United States.
Our Mission
Purple Cactus exists to unite the criminal and social justice systems by directing philanthropic resources toward evidence-based programs that keep survivors safe, hold abusers accountable, and build stronger communities.
We believe every dollar given should be traceable to a real outcome. That's why every campaign we run publishes its fundraising goal, funds raised, funds granted, and funds available — and every grantee reports outcomes through our portal.

Our Leadership
Executive Director
Ivan Troitskiy
Ivan Troitskiy serves as Executive Director of Purple Cactus, overseeing the organization's day-to-day operations, fundraising, and the partnerships that connect Purple Cactus with researchers, advocates, and collaborators across the domestic violence and intimate partner violence fields. Born in Russia and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Ivan has seen the impact of domestic violence up close across different environments and points in his life — among family, friends, and communities. Seeing that impact firsthand is what drives his commitment to Purple Cactus's mission and his belief that survivors deserve better-connected systems, real research, and access to programs designed to meet their specific needs.
